Spacer
What is it?
A spacer is a holding chamber for an inhaler that makes taking asthma medication easier. This device helps move the medication straight to your lungs instead of your mouth or throat, which can lead to irritation and mild infections.
Spacers should be used by:
- All children.
- Adults taking a corticosteroid preventer medication using an MDI/puffer.
- Adults having trouble coordinating breathing in and pressing your puffer.
- Anyone taking a reliever medication during an asthma attack.
